“The theater is a dream” is an intervention for open spaces that owes its name to the homonymous text of the Peruvian poet César Vallejo in which he proposes to liberate the theater from the old conceptual margins, hence to use the metaphors of the dream to propose other ways of dramaturgical articulation.

The spectators will witness a dreamlike moment. In this moment of reverie, we see characters of the aristocracy who are on their way to the re-opening of a theater and find themselves in an unexpected situation where the characters of the play escape from the theater, it is in this circumstance that the action takes place.

A tribute to the theater, which intertwines diverse artistic languages, characters from different plays of the repertoire of Yuyachkani, texts of Masters on theater and live music.

The show is also a feast of gratitude and celebration for the half century of uninterrupted life of Yuyachkani, for what gives us the craft and the will to continue affirming life and art in difficult times.
